As one might guess by the Spoon&Sailor name, we here are big fans of the sea. Luckily, the ocean state is chock full o’ ocean & this past weekend we took advantage of this geographical fact in full…adding on bike rides, bagged beach drinks {the maiden voyage of this gem of an idea}, cloudless skies, swimming swans, sunsets & teepees! Yes, teepees. Here’s a peek at how we do when a serious recharging by the ocean session is needed:

I love the bagged drink idea! Genius! What did you make?
Right? It was an idea I’ve wanted to try for a while but wasn’t sure if it would work. In fact, the retrieval of the drinks from a soft mini-cooler at the bottom of my beach bag was prefaced with “I’ve done something either incredibly genius or horribly stupid”…but it worked! The drinks were a very non-exact version of Bon Appetit‘s delicious Blueberry Smash.
As the beneficiary of this blissful baggie experiment, I might contribute that it was (a) delicious; (b) novel; and (c) necessary to have these drinks on said beach day. Spoon&Sailor, you know what is good!
